Shareholder and chair of the firm’s Bankruptcy, Foreclosure, and Municipal Law Practices set to speak at one of New Jersey’s top destinations of redevelopment law in New Jersey.
New Brunswick (February 2020) – James G. Aaron, a shareholder and chair of Ansell Grimm & Aaron’s Bankruptcy, Foreclosure, and Municipal Law Practices is set to present at the 2020 Annual Redevelopment Law Institute on February 7, 2020 at 12:30 p.m.
Hosted by the New Jersey Institute for Continuing Legal Education, A Division of The New Jersey State Bar Association, Aaron will join other panelists as they delve into some of the most important issues of redevelopment projects. He will provide analysis and lead discussion on the new State Land Bank Statute. Other areas to be addressed include incenting redevelopment: transit-oriented development and opportunity zones and tips on when your redevelopment project must be resilient.
Aaron brings extensive experience and insights to the panel, having served Asbury Park as City Attorney, Redevelopment Counsel, and Special Waterfront Redevelopment Litigation Counsel and the City of Long Branch, NJ as a municipal attorney. He litigated the City of Long Branch’s redevelopment plans through the trial court and the Appellate Division of the New Jersey Superior Court. He negotiated the Redevelopment Ordinance for the City of Asbury Park that is still in existence today and litigated its validity through trial and appellate courts.
