Courtney Sauer is an associate in the criminal defense and municipal court group. She handles a broad range of matters in criminal and municipal court.
Courtney joined the firm following a Monmouth County Superior Court clerkship where she worked with The Honorable Jill Grace O’Malley, P.J.Cr. She conducted legal research and drafted motion decisions for criminal matters. Courtney also performed all aspects of court administration and gained valuable insight into court proceedings. During her clerkship, Courtney became a certified civil mediator with the Special Division-Small Claims Part.
Courtney earned her law degree at Rutgers Law School and served as associate editor of the Rutgers Law Record. While in law school, she was a student attorney at the Rutgers Education and Health Law Clinic and clerked with two regional New Jersey law firms. She has also interned at the Ocean County Public Defender’s Office. Graduating cum laude, Courtney received a dual Bachelor of Science degree from Virginia Tech in Sociology and Criminology.
