Catherine Brennan is a partner and member of the Firm’s Community Association Department. Her extensive experience representing homeowners associations, condominiums, and cooperative communities allows Cathy to deftly navigate the complexities of community association law and offer guidance on governance, dispute resolution, and regulatory compliance matters.
With a strong background in litigation and advisory roles, Cathy counsels community association boards and property managers on drafting and enforcing association documents, managing assessments, and resolving conflicts related to construction defects, delinquent payments, and neighbor disputes. Her practical and strategic approach ensures that board members and property managers receive clear and effective counsel on fiduciary duties, contract negotiation, and implementing rules and regulations.
Known for her analytical skills and client-focused service, Cathy is committed to finding efficient solutions, whether through mediation, arbitration, or court proceedings. She has represented clients in both state and federal courts and is recognized for her ability to achieve favorable outcomes in complex cases.
Before joining Ansell Grimm & Aaron, Cathy amassed three decades of commercial litigation acumen through her work at prominent national and regional law firms.
While earning her law degree at Seton Hall University School of Law, Cathy was a member of the Moot Court Board. Following law school, she served as a law clerk for the Honorable Donald G. Collester in the Superior Court of New Jersey.
