With a passion for and involvement in the law that extends back to her teens, Michelle M. Nestor brings both practical law firm experience and behind-the-bench insights to her work on a wide range of family law matters.
As attentive to details as she is to her clients’ needs, Michelle helps individuals navigate complex and contentious divorce, child custody, support, and related matters with a deep sense of empathy and determined advocacy. Her goal is to help her clients emerge from challenging transitions with clarity, confidence, and closure, keeping her focus squarely on protecting their financial and personal interests.
Michelle worked at several law firms while she was an undergraduate at Drew University, gaining experience that exposed her to the real-world practice of law and laid the foundation for success as both a law student and an attorney. While earning her law degree from Rutgers University School of Law, Michelle served as a law clerk at Ansell Grimm & Aaron, where she worked closely with the firm’s attorneys on a wide range of matters, honed her legal research and writing skills, and gained first-hand knowledge of courtroom procedures and advocacy.
After law school, Michelle complemented her law firm experience with service as a law clerk to the Honorable Kimberley S. Casten, JSC, where she prepared case summaries, drafted opinions, calculated child support, and ensured timely management of judicial proceedings, among her other responsibilities.
