Tara Walsh is a partner in the Criminal Defense and Municipal Court Defense departments. She has tried numerous Municipal Court and Superior Court cases, including two high-profile criminal cases before the Monmouth County Superior Court Criminal Division.
While attending law school, Tara was selected to participate in the Advocacy of Criminal Cases program. While attending Syracuse University, she was a member of the Phi Beta Kappa and Golden Key International honor societies and served as a student advocate for Vera House, a nonprofit charitable organization.
Following law school, Tara served as the judicial law clerk to the Honorable Thomas F. Scully, presiding judge of the New Jersey Superior Court Criminal Division in the Monmouth County Superior Court for the 2010–2011 term. During her clerkship, she handled a variety of criminal matters, including drug court appeals, municipal appeals, suppressions, violations of probation and petitions for post-conviction relief.
Tara is a guest lecturer before the Monmouth Bar Association on various developments in the practices of municipal court defense and criminal defense. She is a member of the Monmouth Bar Association, where she serves on the Municipal Court Committee. She is also a member of the Inns of Court and the New Jersey State Bar Association. She serves as secretary and board member of the Associate Board of Court Appointed Special Advocates for Children (CASA), a nonprofit charitable organization.
